About Us
The FreeVis LASIK Center Nuremberg-Fürth at the Euro Eye Laser Clinic specializes in the surgical correction of refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism). Since our founding in 1994, our surgeons have performed over 30,000 eye laser procedures (among them approx. 19,000 LASIK procedures) as well as 7,800 intraocular lens procedures.
Our chief priority is for our surgeons to perform high quality laser and lens surgery. Our expert team of surgeons and friendly staff offer effective and efficient treatment in a timely manner at our pleasant and modern facilities.
Our LASIK Center has been LASIK-TÜV certified since 2006.
Our clinic is physically connected to the EURO-MED-CLINIC, an interdisciplinary private clinic for patients from all over the world.

Our Team
Our surgeons are experienced in all areas of conservative and surgical treatment for vision disorders.
Armin Scharrer, MD
Dr. Scharrer is one of the pioneers of modern cataract (phacoemulsification) and refractive surgery (Lasik, Femto-LASIK). He has performed more than 45.000 procedures. In 1989, he was named President of the Study Group for Ophthalmologic Surgery of the Professional Organization of German Ophthalmologists (Berufsverband der Augenärzte Deutschlands) and President of the Congress of German Ophthalmologic Surgeons (Kongress der Deutschen Ophthalmochirurgen - DOC). Dr. Scharrer is a member of numerous German and international ophthalmologic societies.
Manuel Ober, MD
Dr. Ober attended Medical School in Erlangen and Munich. He was a staff member of the Eye Clinic of the University of Erlangen. He passed his residency for ophthalmologic surgery at renowned eye clinics in the United States. He is one of the founders of the Euro Eye Laser Clinic and functions as one of its Medical Directors. Dr. Ober is a member of many German and international ophthalmologic societies.
Martin von Busch, MD
After attending Medical School in Erlangen and Würzburg, Dr. von Busch became the Senior Ophthalmologist at the Euro Eye Laser Clinic in 1997.
Thomas Will, MD
Dr. Will attended Medical School in Regensburg and Munich. He underwent training as an internist at the Passau Clinic prior to his residency in ophthalmology. He has been an ophthalmo-surgeon since 1993, and joined the Euro Eye Laser Clinic in 1994.
Doris Pilar, MD
Dr. Pilar joined the surgical team in 2001.

At the Interstate connecting point (Autobahnkreuz) Altdorf, take interstate A6 towards Heilbronn until Interstate connecting point (Autobahnkreuz) Nürnberg Süd. Then take A73 towards Fürth and take Exit Fürth Leyh/Höfen.

Coming from Würzburg (A3)
At the Interstate connecting point (Autobahnkreuz) Nürnberg/Fürth/Erlangen, take A73 towards Nürnberg. Take the Exit Fürth Stadtmitte/Südstadt and go straight through two traffic lights. Drive through the underpass and make a right into the second street (Fronmüllerstraße). Make a left at the third traffic light (Magazinstraße) and another right into the second street (Europaallee).
